Its Volunteers Week

Volunteers’ Week is a chance to celebrate and say thank you for the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.

It takes place 1-7 June every year and is an opportunity to celebrate volunteering all over the country in all its diversity. As well as helping others, volunteering has been shown to improve volunteers’ wellbeing too.

It’s human nature to feel good after helping someone out. Volunteering can also help you gain valuable new skills and experiences, and boost your confidence.

Now in our 10th month, Blantyre Futures (formerly Blantyre Steering Group) is always looking out for more volunteers. Come along to our friendly meetings or to our public event in the Miners Welfare this Wednesday evening. See what we’re doing with the Blantyre Community Action Plan and see how you can make difference.
